1948 - 1953 Studied at the Berlin College of Arts and Crafts, in the Department for Mural Painting, with Prof. Martin Dittberner.
1953 - 1955 Studied Stained Glass with Wilhelm Teuwen, at the Art and Craft School, Cologne
1955 - 1959 Worked as freelance designer/ artist in Solingen for industry, private clients, and Church commissions
Involved in founding and running the Gallery for Design and Craft at Wipperkotten, Solingen
Worked and traveled to France and Italy
First hot-glass experiences in Hebron, Israel
Exhibited and carried out public and private commissions
1958 - 1959 Studied at Technical College for Glass, Zwiesel, Bavaria
1961 - 1972 Returned to Berlin to teach at Academy for Art and Craft, Freelance artist; Established Stained Glass Studio at University of Art, Berlin
From 1972 Professor at HdKB, Head of the Stained Glass Studio. Commissions for public and private clients.
Participated in international seminars/conferences, including the conference ’Working with Light’ in London, UK.
1986 Collaborated with artists and galleries, including ‘International Flat Glass: 36 Women from 12 Countries’, at the Galerie Monica Borgward, Bremen,1988, and in Berlin in 1989.
1990 Planned and organised Berlin Flatglass Workshop '90 at the University of Art (HdK) Berlin, with international artists.
From 1991 participated in workshops including: Glass casting in Lauscha;
Portrait painting at Bild-Werk Frauenau, Bavaria; Women's International Glass Workshops in Swansea, Wales/UK (1991), Austria (1995), Ireland (1997), New Zealand (2002), Australia (2006), France (2008), Wales, UK (2009)
1992 Professor Emeritus from University of Art, Berlin (UdK Berlin)
1993 Moved to Udenhausen/North-Hesse
Founder of Cultural Centre, Old School Udenhausen
2003 Returned to Berlin
