Holly Sanford has worked in architectural glass for over 30 years from her studio in Auckland, New Zealand. Her large-scale commissions can be seen in prominent New Zealand buildings such as Auckland University, Hamilton City Council and the Auckland District Court. Her residential windows are located throughout New Zealand and extend to Europe and the United States. Although professionally involved mainly in site-specific commissions, Sanford also exhibits at home and abroad. She is presently working with designs for double-glazing. It suits her interest in overlapping patterns and large-scale solutions as well as tying in nicely with her environmental concerns. She continues to do smaller more personal work, enjoying the freedom and surprises it offers her.
